Construction is steadily advancing on a 3MWp agrivoltaic project in Italy undertaken by PROFENCE.ENERGY. The project utilizes a high-clearance agrivoltaic mounting system that elevates solar modules above the farmland, enabling simultaneous solar power generation and agricultural cultivation to maximize the value of dual land use.

The mounting structures are constructed from high-strength carbon steel treated with a zinc-aluminum-magnesium anti-corrosion coating. This offers excellent corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term, stable operation even in the challenging outdoor environments found in Europe.
The high-clearance design provides ample space beneath the panels, ensuring no interference with crop cultivation or the movement of agricultural machinery. It accommodates a wide range of crops and is compatible with mainstream solar module models, as well as complex terrains such as hillsides and slopes. The solar panels provide moderate shading that helps regulate the field's microclimate, allowing for the generation of clean energy while preserving the farmland's agricultural productivity.
